What type truck is everyone useing to pull their boats with ?

Its made by Hi-tech they are located in Panama City Beach, Fl but deliver anywhere. The trailer has been ok. Just had problems with the orignal led lights going bad and the reverse lock out solenoid going bad. The trailer does float at the ramp tho. I am looking to install weights to compensate for that. The trailer was 4200 with Kodak disc brakes on the front two axles. Also its torsion suspension not leaf.

Chevy Silverado Max 6.0 4x4 ext cab regular bed with factory towing package.

I need to update my tow rig. Last I posted here I had my 04 2500 Sierra. After that was an 07 2500 Suburban but the single rear wheels still let the chassis get bumper steered at times. I finally got my 06 3500 Silverado DRW Dmax/Allison 4X4 and I am loving this thing to death.

2007 Ford F150. So far, the towing performance has been very satisfactory.

just upgraded my ride. just two years newer now. 2012 Ford F350 Crew Cab SRW King Ranch. It by far is the sweetest stock ride out there in a pickup truck. Boss almost tried to get me to switch to the Chevy Denali pickup, at first I was willing but then saw the upgrades and additions ford added for the 2012 model and it wasnt even a comparison. The King Ranch leather in the ford is hands down the best leather available on the market. this is my 5th f350 king ranch since 2006 and I wouldnt change. only reason for the upgrades so often is the 200,000+ i put on them every year, the company really hates the high mileage trucks once they hit 400,000-500,000 range.

you keep driv'n them Fords buddy!! Fords and Formulas, has a nice ring don't it ;) i'd rather carry a chevy hubcap n ride the bus than have to drive a cheveee :D

Hey aquaforce, I have this on my setup and it makes the world of difference with the way the truck handles.

I didn't try something like that on my SRW trucks but that could have helped a lot.

On this DRW I have not had anything move it around at all but I have only had about 8K lbs behind it so far.
If I go 382 Fastech then I may need something like what your using but if I go 400SS it will be goose neck.

How far do you pull?

Yup NJ to FL once a year usually. Going down end of April, getting married on Captiva and staying there for a week and a half island hopping. I actually pulled the engine out of the boat this week. Let the fun begin ;)

Congratulations on the marriage and my wishes for a super honeymoon. Sounds like you will have a great time.

Magic, I passed that place I'll make my way there to check it out. We are staying and getting married at South Seas Resort so we will probably have golf cart races to it one day haha.

Thanks aquaforce, we figured with all the craziness going on in the world today why not just island hop and stay somewhere just as nice as some islands. Cabbage Key ismy favorite spot to get away so I will be stopping by there a bit nd im sure family and friends that come to the wedding will be asking for rides so I fig why not bump up the HP in the 26 and do it in good time.
