1999 Expedition Eddie Bauer towing 6K lbs., used to tow with a 1997 F150 supercab longbed. I really like the shorter wheelbase of the Expedition though.

2005 Chevy with the Duramax/Alli. If only the price of diesel would get below gas.

Good truck. ;D ;D ;D
I have an extended cab 2500HD 6.0L 4:10. Pulls my 242 with no effort.
Comming back from MD with the 242 it lost some speed on a long tall hill but if the engine reved up and the trans came out of OD it would speed up the hill. I could have gone with the 8.1L in hind sight.
You should do quite well with that truck.

Here in california we have tons of hills.....this baby goes up them with ease:)

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.7 (Selec-Trac), tow package & tranny cooler.

It pulls about 5500 lbs with litte issue.

I can tell it doesn't like it but it runs cool even on a warm day. It pulls just fine getting about 10-12 MPG.

The short wheel base & daily driver status of that vehicle make it ideal.

Texas to NC, up the ramps, over the dirt roads...no problem.

Very nice truck and boat. That extra equipment sounds like the truck would be very stable and solid pulling anywhere. I like it. ;D ;D

Re: What type truck is everyone useing to pull there boats with ?

Thanks aquaforce,

The only thing the Kodiak has over her is about 700lbs more chassis weight and bigger brakes. I didn't like adding the extra weight with the 10 bolt adapters and inner steel wheels, but the stability is well worth the trade off.

She pulls great to the local lakes, so now for the real test, we're pulling up to Lake Powell on the 12th of April that will include three long hills. The big rigs are down in the 20 to 30mph range on the hills. I hope to be around 45mph.

Great triple disc electric over hydraulic trailer brakes will help me comming back.

Re: What type truck is everyone useing to pull there boats with ?

sounds like your truck should be on overhaulin ;D cool updates

Hi CMac! 8)

2006 Chevrolet 3500 Dually, LBZ Duramax. I tow a 370SS everywhere.

I had a Kodiak and hated it. The 3500 is much better than a 4500 Kodiak.
