Lunch @ Formula


I second. Or is it third?

Anyhow, I think the $500 Pizza Party is a good thing.......to include any laid off workers who want to visit for a slice, I hope.

The remaining balance to be distributed via certificate to all furloughed workers for the balance received.

Let's also include a great big card at the Pizza Party with this group's well wishes.
 
I like GSENT's approach, pizza for those still employed and a food gift certificate for those who have been laid off. As far as the a card goes, any ideas on what info to include. Not that we are in this for the recognition, but since we cannot "sign" a card, it would be nice if we could include something with basic info on who contributed(individual amounts not to be included). Maybe a list with owner's name, boat name, model and hailing port, any thoughts?

I would strongly suggest you make contact with your local Formula dealership and ask their help in contacting their data base of Formula boat owners. Unfortunately they are not all active here. I have contacted two East Coast dealerships and they have been helpful/interested in helping out. They are Hampton Marine & AGYG. There are a bunch of other dealers out there. What we want to do is tap into their email listings. We want them to make contact with those owners and ask them to get online here and be better informed Formula boaters. We do NOT want them to share their email list with us or give the list to us, which may be their first impression. This is a good way for them to contact their customers, let them know they are still in business despite hard times, and promote a good deed.

Does anyone remember who it was here who lives in Phoenix, AZ. I'll be out there this weekend and wanted to touch base. Thanks. Also if you have email addresses lets russle up some other Formula owners who may not be reading/posting here.

You guys did an outstanding job of setting this up. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated. I spoke to Chris from Ocean Performance In Old Saybrook Ct. He is going to look into this and see about emailing his Formula customers.
 
I just threw a post up on OSO with a link here! I think this is a GREAT idea and am sending out a $150 check this weekend!

I think Gary will email or pm everyone that sends a check so they know he received it.

As for the card, we are working on a few ideas. if we want a big one we may have to work with a local printer or even get Formula marketing to help us out.

Great stuff guys. Sounds like the card is going to be special too.

"Cool Change" made mention of how to identify ourselves for the card "signing" since we would not be present to sign. I agree with what he said......it's not about the recognition, but about the personal gesture of good will and encouragement. Name, model, and/or hailing port....any of those would work, as would your boat's hull ID number. They would know who's thinking of them from any of that information.

GSENT, my check is on the way.
