Over the next few weeks we will be finalizing our new revamped BIRDS on the BAY Formula Rendezvous Weekend. It will be at a new location, new activities and also there is a charity now involved. So instead of just hanging around great people and amazing boats we are there supporting a cause!*

Help us out! Would you like to see the end of June 27-28th or end of August 29-30th? For the last 3 years it has been help on Labor Day Weekend, but part of the revamping process we are moving away from a Holiday weekend.*

Please share your thoughts, ideas, etc. Sooner we get a consensus sooner we can get some firm plans set.

Out of state attendees, the new location will have a ramp nearby, safe parking, and also lift access incase you do not want to dunk your trailer. There will be slips to accommodate ALL size boats.

Out of staters that cannot bring their boats Atlantic City airport and Newark Airport are approx 45 mins away from projected Rendezvous location.

Cant wait to hear about the new concept and purpose:cool:

Split and I met with the guys at, New Jersey's Formula Dealership, Comstock in Brick, NJ yesterday discussing this years Birds on the Bay Rendezvous. We have pretty cool things to share with you detail wise. Once we organize it I will post them up.*

We are still torn between June and August and are looking for more input from possible attendees. Also to help the planning process please chime in if you are interested in joining this year.

As discussed at the Atlantic City Boat Show, I am only 5-minutes up the Beaver Dam Creek from Comstock's and will definitely attend.

With the colder weather we have been experiencing it may be best to host the event in August unless of course we want to consider doing both.

The June event could be a "Covered Dish" type event where each attendee brings something to eat and benefits #1 Charity and the August event could be a Pig-Roast hosted by Formula and benefits #2 Charity with one of the Charities being "Wounded Warrior's". Just a thought.....

Looks as if members are leaning towards an August date for the BIRDS on the BAY...

August 22-23 looks like it works for the majority.

For those interested we can also arrange a small summer blast off but we are focusing on organizing our signature event as of right now. Let us know what you are thinking!

Unforgettable, we have a charity/benefit for our event picked out but we will keep that special cause in mind to possibly incorporate it on others.

Once the details are worked out, which I assume will be over the next day or so I will release it all to everyone. Stay tuned!

Looking forward to attending event in August. "Chillin The Most" will try to bring along additional formulas from MD area. See everyone soon. !!!

Still working through all the details but I have to say what we have planned is going to be a time not to miss. I can't release any info until set in stone but I think ya'll are going to like it!

After announcing the dates August 22-23rd we have received 18 excited commitments! Once the details are divulged I am sure more will follow quickly!

Stay tuned!

IDCE, the Benton's will most likely be attending. I would like to take my Chesapeake trip earlier than August so shiold be fine. Plus it would be sad to miss all you fine folks.

GREAT NEWS! To all trailer boaters that are coming in or thinking about making the tow. Sherman Boat Basin, which is the the marina next to Comstock with the boat ramp, has just told me they donated access to their ramp for Formula Owners that are attending BOTB. They heard about what we are doing and has helped FOONJ in our efforts. They usually charge $30 roundtrip!

We got a lot more info about the event that will be shared soon (maybe later tonight or tomorrow). We will have an exact breakdown of all that is going on now that we have it all in stone!

Also we are at 21 Formulas committed for the 6th Annual Birds on the Bay already!

The 6th Annual BIRDS on the BAY Formula Rendezvous Weekend

This is going to be one special event that you do not want to miss this summer! After 5 years the FOONJ family decided to one-up our previous efforts and give our event a purpose. A little guy Tyler was diagnosed recently with Dravet Syndrome which has a lot of unexpected expenses which no family plans for. We redesigned the Birds on the Bay Rendezvous to be able to raise money for such causes through owner participations and generous sponsorships.

Comstock Marina (New Jersey's Formula Dealership) has offered their assistance this year and opened their doors to us. They supplied slips as well as a catered dinner. We also have 3 Live Entertainment acts booked for the day. There will be a "Captain's Fee" of $115 that will cover the Captain and the vessel which includes the costs of a slip with power, water and amenities, entertainment all day, and a catered dinner. "Captain's Mates" Fee (attendees other than the captain) will be $15 per mate. All monies collected from attendance will be donated directly to the family!

Saturday, August 22nd will be a full day at the marina which will be a our main event day. Sunday, August 23rd we will do a group cruise, for whomever is interested, to a local cove and do a "Sunday Funday" Formula hangout. The cove is protected from winds and you simply nose up on sand no worries about anchoring or rafting up.
Every year we push the envelope further in making BOTB a more enjoyable experience. To ensure proper accommodations for all, RSVPs are critical and asked that they are given as soon as possible. This event will be rain or shine because of the vendors and commitments made prior.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sunday Funday" @ the Cove

Sunday morning we will grab some breakfast from the Fork in the Road and then for those interested head out to the "local cove". The cove is protected from all the elements we battled in the past for our raft-ups. Also you just nose up onto sand, with no need to anchor or raft-up to anyone. We will just have a chill day hanging out on the water with fellow Formula Owners before we go our own ways. The big boats, ips drives, etc can moor outside the cove and dinghy in if wanted.

- Captain's & Mate Fees aka Donations -
Captain's Fee - $115
Mate - $15

Our generous sponsors helped us set up an event that is going to be amazing. Now to raise money for the family we need attendees to come and enjoy the party! If you were on the edge of coming for the past 5 years FOONJ held the Birds on the Bay this year we need you to really make the effort! More the merrier, if you have friends bring them along they are considered a "Mate". As we get closer we will set up where to send the donation to, and at that time we will have full commitment from you in which we will fill in the slip assignments. If you cannot make the event but would still like to make a donation contact us, it would be greatly appreciated. Tyler and family are planned to be joining us in the fun at the Rendezvous.

We hope to see you!

Ok I have 20 Formulas that gave me their official commitments to BOTB 2015. I have another 8 on a side list that gave me a yeah but have not gave me the official with all the info I need to input in our guest list spreadsheet.

This spreadsheet will be used to account for your party at the catered dinner and also be used to plan the slipping assignment.

That info includes....

-Boat Name
-Attendee names
-Formula Size & Model
-Head count of your party
