You in Sync?

PULEEZE , I'm still trying to forget it ::). Messed with that for four months. Swapped everything but engines and that was next. Never did find out why ???.

You mean the motors just just started running together? I thought a coupler was the culprit?

No , No, No. So did I since the was a small amount of rubber under the starboard engine so I changed it. No help. Swapped props ,no help. Put spare dive on the starboard , no help. Swapped drives left to right , no help. Carefully inspected the bottom of the boat and repaired some MINOR , MINOR flaws , no help. Keep in mind , this whole time with the engines at 3000 rpms I was doing 41 mph not 50 like I was for the last two years running 28" Bravos. Accelerate the left and the boat speed would pick up. Accelerate the right up to 5000 and the boat speed would hardly change ??? ???. Used hand held tach to varify boat tachs readings and OK. Finally the weekend before Labor Day I hit the sticks leaving the NWZ at the ramp and both tachs climbed together and I got my speed back(50@3000) ??? ???
Keep in mind last April my hair was black ...this is it now ;D ;D ;D

Just kidding

I noticed last year that my sticks are not in sync, about 200 ro 300 rpm difference. Should I worry about that? Can that be corrected?

Could be a minor cable adjustment. If both engines are WOT and still slightly different , adjusting the timing a wee bit came change this.

I have my throttles in the middle, and my gears on the outside.

I have been looking for a sync guage that isn't out of sync with my budget. How do these hook up to the engine?

VERRRRRRRY easy. 5 wires...one from each tach, +12 off the ignition , ground , And a 12 volt lead off the dash light if you wan't it lit at night ;D ;D
