Trailer/bunk position on 330ss

Hey guys,

When I bought my 330ss the marina did a terrible job of positioning the boat on the trailer. She sat wayyyy to far forward putting a lot of stress on the front axle and throwing off the balance of everything. I have now moved her back to where I see everyone else's 330's sitting over the axles. She pulls much better now. I plan to reposition the bunks further back to support the rear end a bit better. I will likely do it later this week. I wish I could move the axles forward - but I cant because the i-beams start to bend in to meet eachother at the bow right in front of the front axle.

MY QUESTION IS - do you guys think she is ok to sit with about a foot or so hanging off the back of the bunks for a few days, possibly a week or so??

Can see shes unsupported in the back at the moment in the pic below.

Thanks guys!

It should not be a problem but make sure you have tongue weight. I would still put two jack stands under the rear frame of the trailer to keep it from lifting the front.

Not much to be seen in the picture, but . . . here is what the mid-section and aft structure look like. The bunk is likely to be near the stringers and it should not cause a problem (IMO) if left at rest for a week or so.

The bulkheads are more than ample to support the weight, You could leave it there for a year and be fine.

Thank you for the response - Ive seen pictures of 330's up on lifts with similar bunk positioning where there is some hanging over in the back - but I figured Id ask around and get some opinions.

Ted, this is a cool picture. I just checked out your website and found that I've come across it in the past. Such a cool documentation of your work. Super well done.
