Stern Thruster 34PC

We are working with an owner of a 34 PC and he is looking to add a bow and stern thruster, the bow is no problem found a great spot to mount it but the stern is presenting an issue. Has anyone ever seen or even heard of someone with a 34 PC with a stren thruster?

I personally have not, and if you have a bow thruster, can't imagine needing a stern thruster on a boat this size.

Assume they have Bravo III drives or is this an inboard ?

Cant help you with the stern, but there is a thread on the site with extensive pictures of a bow thruster being installed on a PC. I looked but cant find it. Shows the drill going thru the hull

The boat has dual MerCruiser 496 engines and the reason he is looking to install both is hold feature that Sidepower offers, he is an older gentleman and he and his wife have a time docking at low tide. I think he might be out of luck unless someone on here can give some ideas, with the lack of space between the motors and the center stringer it's not looking good for him.

There are external STERN thrusters available...he might/you might want to call the MFG direct. They most likely would help you out.

I recently saw a 2004 or 2005 34 PC fit with inboards that had an external stern thruster. The Boat was located @ Comstock's in Brick, NJ. Maybe they can take a picture of it for you.

That said, if the boat is fit with out-drives I doubt that any kind of stern thruster would work since they are generally installed mid-line i.e., in between the drives. When engaged, the thruster would be pushing water directly into one of the drives or the other.
