Scott 7268, after reading your commentary in another thread about the "hanger rash" you obtained at your new facility, I thought I would share what I had to deal with last week....

There was some painting going on at the marina I was at a week ago, and on a windy day, the painter decided to press on. After all, he wanted to finish and get paid...right??

Well, seems the wind was about 30 knots, and blowing right towards my boat. They were rolling, and brushing. Consequence: My always Bristol Condition vessel is no more, as there are/were thousands of blobs of paint all over my boat. They vary from specs to dime size.

90 percent are now gone thanks to my fingernails, followed by some buffing. I chose to do the grunt work myself, as I could just see some minimum wage guy showing up with a bottle of compound, and a big, heavy buffer....only to exacerbate the problem. Bottom line, just about 3 precious days off lost, and the hull is mostly back to its status before this event. Thank heavens for a good coat of polish! Brightwork and windshields are mostly done, but there is still work to do. As for the Strataglass and Canvas, they will probably be an insurance claim for the contractor, as the paint is not likely to be able to be removed from those surfaces without damaging them. Did I say I was angry? This was SOOOOOOOOO unnecessary!!!!

As for resolution, a "spirit" of cooperation is prevailing, with the tortfeasor currently making a sound effort to make me whole. It will take some time though.
