Replacing Kenwood Head Unit

The old Kenwood KTS 300 MR has to go, along with the CD Changer (never used it) as do four speakers...tweeters have rotted away due to salt air. I have two options re head unit plus two deck remotes, one at the helm and one on the swim platform of the 310 SS.

Option one is a Fusion RA-70n radio -add SiriusXM, 2 wired remote units, 3 pair Rockford speakers

or

Kenwood KMR-M318BT radio - add SiriusXM
2 wired remote units
3 pair Rockford speakers

Difference re parts plus fitting is $200.

Anybody have experience of either. I know of Fusion and have seen their units but never lived with one. Kenwood I have used both on boats and in cars but not recently.

Also speakers, are the Rockford any good re marine wise?

Thoughts please?

Replace the Kewood for the Kenwood and save the extra work on the remote. I have been using Memphis Marine for the last 20 years and I have been extremely happy. I have a source that ships if you need one and he has some last year model stuff new in stock that I know he will cut you a deal on. PM me if you are interested!

Dave, purchasing the kit isn't expensive, a head unit is under $100. The question is which offers the better usability and longevity?

Check with Kenwood on the wiring for the remotes. I had asked previously and the Kenwood remote wiring on my 07 34PC is NOT compatible with newer head units.

I have the fusion and I love it... Hands down the best marine head unit on the market. As for speakers / amps go Wetsounds or JL. Replace the 6.5" speakers with 8", they sound great.
