400, check for water supply going to the ice maker first. take the lower vent cover off the front and you will see the water line connection. if you are getting water, open the door and in the upper left corner is a square white cover. take off that cover (it just snaps on) and see if there is a bunch of corrosion inside the mechanism. if there is, you can replace that whole unit pretty inexpensively (compared to replacing the whole thing). google "uline icemaker 402", this is the assembly that will solve your issue. as long as it is cooling and getting water this is the only other thing that will really keep it from making ice. i just did this repair for a buddy of mine last night, he had the same problem. installed the assembly, hooked up water, turned on the unit and 45 minutes later we had ice. not too bad for $150! i also did the exact same repair to my own ice maker several years ago and she's still churnin out the cubes. i've learned to leave the unit on pretty much all the time and just raise the stop lever if you don't need it to make more ice. i've done this year round since i repaired it. in the spring i'll shoot a bit of lubricant into the mechanism too. i also installed a shut off inside the cabin. this has worked well for me in my area but depending on your location YMMV.
Boattard, are you planning on replacing the ice maker with a reefer? if so, send me a Pm.
