Replacing bunks on Eagle Trailer

Several bunks on my 2002 Eagle are in need of replacing.

What wood are folks using? Treated or untreated. Cypress or cedar or pine? Or is there another material (PVC, for example) that I should consider?

Thanks

No relpies... :(
I have not redone bunks, marina docks say Cyress is the traditional choice. Some trouble with pressure treated and adhesives...What have you dicided?

I ended up calling Eagle trailers. I asked what special wood they used.

They said they use Grade A pine, untreated, staple the carpet to it and screw it to the trailer.

I noted when I took the old bunk off that the wood was painted/treated with something black, but my new bunk is plain pine.

I think that the moisture will evaporate quickly and there should be no problems.

Cheers!
