Removed TV in Galley 40PC

It's taken me most of the winter but I've finally completed the removal of my TV in the galley and I installed new shelving and doors.

I had some custom doors and a header made and sent them to Ebel woodworking to be laminated. I made a a box with the shelves and mounted one door on that and used the existing wall on the left side for mounting the other door. I also changed out all of the hardware in the boat to stainless steel, I had a mix of stainless steel and bronze. I bought some extra pieces and used them on the new doors so everything matches.

Here are a couple of pictures.

Looks good Nate! I hope to have mine done soon. I ordered the woodwork from Ebel so just waiting on them. Did you relocate a TV or just eliminate one from the boat? Where did you get your hinges?

Thanks,
RJ

I'm going to be installing a new TV above the aft cabin but it's not a high priority. This is my third season and I have probably watched a total of 10 minutes of TV. I got the hinges at Lowes but you can order them online also, they are Blum face mount hinges. I may change them along with the old hinges to soft close, it would be a quick and easy change.

Ebel Woodworking was great to deal with. They would have made the doors for me if I wanted but I didn't need them to. It was so cold here this winter that the laminate on a couple other doors split so I sent those in as well to get redone.

If anyone needs the bronze push buttons and stainless bezel's let me know. I have a box of extras that I don't need anymore, they are no longer available.

Gwazoo, I agree, I love my Saphire. The "bar" behind the galley is my favorite part of the boat right behind the diesels.

Yep I need some doors redone as well. The laminate is cracked and splitting on some corners.. I am also going to have my head door laminated. I currently have the formica along with the drawers under the berth....
