Anyone seen this before? I noticed it when we pulled the shrinkwrap a few weeks ago.

The pics are a weekly progression between clean-ups.

i would agree that it's likely antifreeze from winterizing. has your water system been de-winterized? i would think you'd still have anti-freeze in your hot water lines if you're seeing it on the bilge floor and it's coming from the heater. my initial thought was maybe the line wasn't reconnected properly after de-winterizing, but that's not likely if there's still antifreeze in the hot water heater.

good news is that you can see the antifreeze whereas the water has probably gone unnoticed. good to get those leaks squared away at least.

good luck,
twarble

The system has not been dewinterized. I'll update here, as more is learned.

in that case...i notice in your last pic there appears to be a paper towel under the cold water intake. not sure if that's because that's where you think the leak is or not but you might want to also check the drain that is just to the left of that intake. if your mechanic drained the heater before winterizing, maybe it wasn't closed fully. just pointing out one of the easy ones.

You're hunch is exactly what the yard is thinking. Hopefully that's it.

I just replaced my water heater. The heat exchanger in the water heater was the issue. Are you losing engine coolant?

My water heater was fine, once it was commissioned. I think the pink stuff may have been from winterizing. It's stopped, and like I said the water heater is fine, so I don't think any issues.
