Well that took longer than expected with paperwork, but it's over and she's all ours! Can't wait for summer! Now to learn what wax, buffer, etc to use. Upcoming maintenance 350 mpi's is spark plugs / caps and water impellers (doesn't look fun), drive showers (simrek?). Cool fuel/oil and lubes have all been done. New port shifter cable needs adjustment. All new factory stereo and speakers and of course the wife has "extras" she wants..... Im all ears on wax/buffing. I've read a thousand threads which just confused me more..... been thinking of the aquamarine synthetic but am open to suggestions.

Good to be officially part of the family!

Congrats...

Send us a few more details as to location, year, drives, etc....so we can help out. The signature is a great place to do that, like you see below in mine.

Have fun !

yep thanks toofast added the sig. its not showing up yet. 2007 350 mpi's bravo 3's 420 hours. fresh water. I've been reading threads around the mpis and which plugs to get, I just get more confused as it gets overly technical and personal. I usually follow factory recommendation. Other than the maintenance, there's some stretched stitching on the rear bench, I'll need to get that swapped out at some point. Just need to figure out how to remove the seat. Formula buttoned it up pretty good.

Congrats, beutiful boat, she will bring you a lot of fun. As for wax, Collinite 885 Paste Fleet wax. Alot of work but worth it, two coats every spring!

Congratulations. Hope she brings you many happy memories. As for wax/buff question I just changed from a carnuba beeswax paste blend to this new synthetic nano technology and am absolutely blown away by it. So much less work and superior results. The real defining moment was when I tried to do some small paint touch ups. The paint refused to adhere even after a quick rub down with thinners to prep the surface. I used http://feldten-marine.com/gelcoat-sealer/ in a single step process.

Here are my results on a 1992 boat where the gelcoat was in a right state being porous, and somewhat chalky from oxidation. If it lasts the season I wont ever be looking at the traditional waxes again.

Congrats on the new boat. Hopefully we will see you on the water or at the islands in Lake Erie!!!

Congrats on the new boat, I purchased mine last August and left the slip 40 times before I hauled it for the winter season, and every time I went out, I had to remind myself it's MINE. Previous boat was a Tiara and that is what I wanted but got hooked on the Formula and it was a great choice. Good luck to you.
