new Formula builed Photos

Shipped

59.jpgShe should arrive in CT at Rex Marine tomorrow. Then she goes wet for the bottom paint and final engine tunes, etc. If all goes well she will make her trip up to RI with a stop on Block Island for a beer on the way!

Awesome looking boat! Cant imagine your level of excitement to get her home. Hope you have a great summer on the new ride!

Looks awesome. I remember watching my build photos from the factory and then the dealer prep photos before they delivered to me and we put her in the water. Enjoy this summer!

Afrataki - Its hard to get a real read on her big water performance as we aren't even seeing 2'ers here right now. But she is 28k lbs and a Formula so I feel pretty comfortable. I think the big impression I have so far from a performance stand point is how calm the attitude of the boat is. I am probably influenced by how quiet those Mercs are, especially at idle. But that relaxed attitude of the boat doesn't go away. In a pull from 25-45mph, the view over the bow seems the same at 25 as it does at 45. However when you start paying attention to the work the 400Rs are putting in off the stern, you realize just how fast this thing is pulling.

I was able to meet up with the delivery Capt outside of PJ in my other boat - if I can figure out how to get the video uploaded I will. Right now its too big of a file.

Boatweiser, are you in Montauk? We came in today, from Newport, and there's a boat that I'm thinking could be you.

FormulaCT,
I am not. PJ was brutally fogged in yesterday and I ventured about 100yds out before I thought better of it. I believe JWiley mentioned the other day that they delivered one to LI this year. Plus the Rex Factory show room has 1 used one that I am sure gets some sea trial.

You were smarter than I was; we left Newport at 11:30, and hit that fog near you, then went all but 3 - 5 miles outside of Montauk before it lifted.
