Motor Ground Connections

Have twin 4.3's in my '95 27PC and last winter I knocked, what appears to be, a ground wire loose. One end appears to be connected to the starboard engine ground lug and I'm not sure where to terminate the other end? Are the motors grounded to each other and this became disconnected from the port motor? It's not long enough to reach any of the batteries. Can think what else it could go to?

Both motors start and run fine, all electronics appear to be working fine.

Any help is appreciated.

Heavy gauge, looks long how long is it?
Is it long enough to reach Hot water heater, Gen, Battery Charger

I'm looking at a motor I'm rebuilding and if it wasn't attached to the block then I would say its for main ground on the engine wiring harness, but it is attached. Look near the harness or other stud or but joint is about all I can come up with

Thanks. I'll start by looking at the port engine ground lug and see if there's an empty ring terminal and go from there.
