Mercury Horizon Motors

I am taking delivery of my 2001 280 ss tomorrow. I have conflicting records that indicate that I have twin 5.7's or 6.2's. Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to determine which I have?
 
The 5.7 was not designated as horizon and only came with TBI
The 350 Mag did come as horizon and MPI
The 6.2 came as horizon and MPI

Look for the serial number on the motors. A 6.2 is a 350/5.7 with a stroker crank, so it could be its just paper work and there is no issue
 
Thank you. I'll get to look tomorrow. I know they are Horizons but the engine covers don't indicate displacement. It's going to be a long winter.

Pet peeve of mine but suggest loosing those fram oil filters and go to a better brand like wix (napa same as wix)

I see a MEFI 3 ECM so should be MPI
