Wife and I bought a 2007 formula 400 ss and now looking for a trailer to buy or transport at this point. thanks for any help

I think I replied to your post on FB. I just purchased a 350 CBR and at first wanted to purchase a trailer but found it more economical to just have it transported. Where is the boat coming from and going to? Will it stay in the water or do you plan to take in in and out often? I received quotes for a new trailer between $23K and $30K. I found a used one for $18K. Once I had a trailer I was going to have to pay a transport $10K to haul it from MO to NV. A transport who provided a trailer cost me $14K. I also do not have any storage costs for the trailer when the boat is in the water. Not sure what your situation is but I am happy to help with more info if you need it.

Welcome to the forum.
My experience is different than most and highly recommend a two axle trailer over a three or four because the light duty axles bend when the load is not evenly distributed. This happens when you are going from a level surface to an incline like a launch ramp. I have bent two loadmaster trailer axles, one on a triple axle and one on a quad.
There are manufacturers like Dexter axle that makes tandem dual axles to accommodate your weight. You will probably not find a trailer that matches what you are needing as many do not tow that size of a boat or have a large enough truck to pull it.
If your needs require you to trailer, I would protect your new boat with a custom made trailer that can safely handle the weight and an electric over hydraulic braking system to stop it properly. I have used this company out of Salt Lake as they will make extra wide trailers so the boat sits closer to the ground and help with height restrictions. Highly recommend them.
