Anyone have a loadmaster trailer? I am getting a 2004 3-axle with my 27pc and I have been emaiing the dealership trying to find out if the trailer connection is 4 or 5pin connection?

loadmaster trailer co uses a 7 pin connector. all loadmasters have electric brakes on all wheels unless specified different. you will need a controller in the tow vehicle capable of 3 axles. you can call gary straw, owner of loadmaster and he will give all elect. specs. 1-800-258-6115. good luck.

Thanks I finally gave up on salesman emailed the service guy and called loadmaster they both told me the electric thing spent the day trying to get parts and wire it up. Going to be my first experince with electric brakes. Always had surge for boats or air on our work trucks. I showed of posted here instead wasting time emailing salesman :)

REMEMBER, ELECTRIC BRAKES ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT WORK GOING BACKWARDS. MAYBE NOT IMPORTANT ON SMALL BOATS,BUT VERY IMPORTANT ON LARGER BOATS THAT MAY PULL THE TOW VEHICLE IN THE WATER.

I've slid down ramps with all four wheels on the truck locked . When the boat hits the water the truck stops so that's a non issue but it can scare the hell out of you on the way down ;D ;D

THATS OK OF YOU ARE LINED UP STRAIT. IMAGINE A TRUCK AND TRAILER JACKNIFING ON THE RAMP BEFORE THE BOAT IS ABLE TO STOP. I'VE HEARD STORIES OF BOATS FLIPPING OVER AFTER THEY JACKNIFE. BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY, FROM MY PERSPECTIVE.
