I could be silly and say that this stuff is for bayliners and such type of boats ::)

But seriously this is a good heading for the forum. This topic is frequently overlooked until someone has a near miss and sometimes just one accident is to many.

Safe boating everyone :)

There are many stories out there, but one caught my attention and now I have.

3 Hydrostatic PFD's
1 self inflating raft that holds 4 persons. Small pack, 6x8x12
1 ACR GPS on board personal epirb.

2 seasoned captains were moving a brand new 32 contender to a boat show. the new style dripless packings that are cooled by water, somehow the water flow stopped and the shaft and packing seized and ripped a small hole in the hull. Both are dead, god bless em. In 18' of water with land in sight. You can read about it on thehulltruth.com search for caralina classic tragedy.
