Alas over the weekend my '07 310 SS took somewhat of a cosmetic battering down here in Clearwater. FL The bimini top is badly torn but more importantly the cover, from infront of the screen to the swim platform has torn in half. Has anybody recently purchased one of these from TAG or have you gone elsewhere? Am tempted to go aftermarket and somewhat custom. Bimini top I can get done locally easily.

Cockpit covers are very expensive directly from Formula. I would recommend finding someone local who can also install the snaps so they fit perfectly. In the meantime, get at least a cheap tarp over the helm area.
 
Recently replaced the original cockpit cover on my 350 SS, used a local canvas shop in Fort Lauderdale, cost was $1400, made out of stamoid which is much better with mold resistance than the original canvas from Ameritex, and it's lighter weight. They used my original cover as a template to get a perfect fit.
 
I have today been quotes $2800 from Formula without studs....ouch. Am looking locally. Bimini top has survived, just framework has come apart.
 
Best price is a custom cover with snaps, zips around pillars, two vents around support masts and felt pads over rear seats for $2500. Custom Sunbrella. Delivered within 14 days with a seven year guarantee.
 
Glad to provide the name of my canvas guy here in Fort Lauderdale, but you may need to bring your old canvas to him to use as a pattern. The shipping cost would be high. He did my 350 for $1400.
 
No need, am OK thank you. Local specialist is doing something rather clever here regarding a new cover. Will reveal more when it is ready by mid October.
