Looking to get a feel on the amount of Jersey Formula owners here,I know there are probably many..but I was looking for a role call and what Formula model your sporting these days? Comstock Yacht Sales,NJ Dealer for Formula 732-899-2500 Thanks guys... :-X

26PC which is mine and my parents own a 312 Fastech but they are not on the Forums. I know of a few other Formulas in the Barnegat Bay also that aren't on here but get in touch with often.

My marina, Lighthouse point, toms river has 2/ 48 and 2/ 40 and I think there is an older 37 in there somewhere.

One here with a 2004 40 PC. Docked in red bank. Fellow boater also in Red Bank with a 34PC. He isnt on forum yet but will be soon

Guys, thank you for the time letting us know about you all! I'm sure there are many more Jersey owners not here yet.We would love to do a Comstock/Formula get together somewhere this summer, maybe Atlantic City or even at our marina. We have Sold 4 New Formulas over the first two months as a Dealer. We have in stock a 27 BR,31 BR,31 PC,35SS,34PC AND 40SS here to see! If you know of a buddy looking, please let us know! Thanks again...Chip

Hey Chip, someone on Facebook has a New Jersey Formula page you might want to tap in to. Not nearly as informative or collegial as the group here, but it is a space where you could get some names and maybe service work. If you do a little surfing through some of the threads here you will find the guys here have come together for some charitable events involving the factory workers in Indiana. We have Steve Castines to thank
for maintaining this site for the benefit of a couple of thousand boaters.

Does it count if we make at least one (and usually two) yearly trip there from the south shore of LI?

Jeff

Thanks PT,Yes I am aware of that one too.Tom runs the FB one, small following right now but building.I would assume with Trenton being a Dealer for so long that there are many Formula owners in Jersey! We are trying to spread the word about us,and we now have 5 New 2011 Formulas in stock.27 BR,31BR,31PC,34PC,35SS and 40SS..We have sold 4 new Formula's in 2 months so far, with two more on the hook for this weekend if this weather ever clears up!! If anyone is selling here in NJ,let us know as we are starting to get customers looking for pre-owned. Love this site PT..great job by you guys!

There a post your location thread here on the site that links to a google page. Can't search easily and quickly from my iPad with 3G.

Yeah that would be me who started the Formula Owners of New Jersey page on Facebook in attempt to get some of the Jersey boaters together that were already on FB. Its kind of slow because a lot of the current people who "like" the page are not very active users. Its just another source out there that people can touch and ask questions that so happened to be free. I didn't intend on it to be nothing more than a social spot and to let people know of boating areas Formula owners are at in NJ. I used the facebook site along with offshoreonly.com and this site to try the very first Formula rendezvous in Jersey last year. It worked out well in a month we got 9 boats together and paved the way for Chesapeake to do their owner driven rendezvous and received some help from Formula getting the word out.

Most forums I was/am a part of had regional sections some even broke it down to states so people got together with common interest like the same collector cars or in this instance a brand family. In the 80s-90s Formula was marketed as you were buying into more of a family than just another boat. It was more than just a pretty, well built boat, you were buying a Formula. There were rendezvous several times a year and Formula Action magazines showing the inside scoop at the plant and fellow owners making the mags sharing their great time spent with their familes on the a Formula. I appreciated that and a lot of owners I've talked to over the last few years say they aren't feeling that love. In Jersey there are A LOT of owners and it was nice last year to get a bunch of awesome people together and shoot the breeze, it was pretty nostalgic. It was nice to hear from someone who attended actually say she was falling out of love with Formula and the Birds on the Bay get together we had made her reconfirm why she invested in the brand. I understand the economic downturn has limited doing bigger events but why not make small attempts at the free fun stuff? That's what the motivation was all about. Not for a flood of advertisements or business but to have something on the internet in case someone has an interest and google it it's there.

Obviously the page could grow quicker if it was listed on here and other Forums or even in a e-news letter but I didn't know the interest of many and if they want to support it they can join in for sure.

Hi Tom, I added a topic and link for the Formula Owners of NJ face book page. I agree with you on the rendezvous, we need more of them! On that note i will be glad to add regional areas to the site if you all think that will help. We do have a topic for Rendezvous, but as you know they are few and far between. The dealer events that were in the formula news letters were great functions, however most of those dealers if not all are gone now. I plan on attending yours July 16th!

Let me know :D

Thanks! I appreciate it and I'm glad to hear you have July 16th marked on the calendar. I'm sure we will bump into eachother more than that this summer.

Dealers sponsoring always helped but the party will still go on if there's people out there that want it to. It seems from last years owner driven events worked well and I ensure a much larger turnout this year because there was plenty of uncertanties if it was going to have any interest last year which it turned out it did. On the east side of Jersey we are use to being dealerless lol.

Live in SO. Jersey. Occasionally boat the Delaware River when slumming. Usually boat the Chesapeake. Much nicer with less crap in the water. 272-SR1 W/T540s

Thanks for helping get in here Tom (IDCE)...I'm out of Tuckerton, NJ with an old 1988 29pc. Ill be staying in this year as long as I can (to fish) since sick most of summer...hopefully weather will stay nice. This is my second Formula and 10th boat in 30 yrs. I really like the Make, had Fountains/searys/seebold/Regals in the past and love the quality of this boat....even had my last Formula, a 292 1988 burn up and still bought another one! Hope to see you all on the water! Mike and Lyuba
