hot water heater leaking from bottom

Has anyone else had their hot water heater leaking from the bottom? I feel like I have to replace it but it looks like I have to remove the generator to do so because of the way it's mounted :-(. Any suggestions?
 
Have you opened it up to check the heating element? It can be leaking from the element seal which can easily be replaced.

No I haven’t taken it apart. I’m assuming I need to pull the stainless steel box off first?

You should be able to remove the front cover for the electrical connections, this is also where you will be able to access the element as well as the thermostat. Worth a try to see if you can locate the source of the leak.

I checked it and it’s the unit not element or thermostat.
