Hi all

Not many Formula Boats where I am from so joined up to get some more specific wisdom and info. I have a 1992 34 PC on Volvo KAD42's and 290 Duo Prop outdrives.

Does anybody know if these were factory fitted and if so what prop selection is best suited. I have C3 sets on my drives but performance is a little lack lustre at 23mph and cruising 3200rpm revs. She will easily get to max cruising revs of 3900 and really only starts to come alive at this range. It seems that until the 25mph mark gets broken she is a bit sluggish.

Thank you. Their response was the boat was factory fitted with ali B5's, which loosely correlates to stainless C4's so I suppose I am indeed underpropped.

Cool to see a Bird from across the pond. Definitely has a different styled Bimini Enclosure than we see over here. I guess previous owner had it remade.

Have fun with it and again welcome to the Formula family and forums.
 
Thank you. The boat spent a lot of time in the Med and so the canvas and vinyl all need replacing. If you or anybody can show me the canvas that was originally meant to be on it I would be very interested as I'm taking the one on off this season and having a new one made.
