Just got an email saying Glencove is selling two of their locations and focusing just on one! Whats going on with that. Troy, any insite or anyone have a clue?

I took this out of the Chamber of Commerce news letter, I hope this helps explain a little whats going on.

Glencove Marine announces plans to centralize its Sea-Doo and Formula service operations. The Sea-Doo service department, currently located at the 21mm, will move to the main headquarters at the 3mm, while Glencove's Highway Showroom will expand to accommodate additional Sea-Doo inventory and sales staff. In order to continue its longterm plan, Glencove Marine will offer the property at the 21mm for sale, including the facility, lakefront and permitted docks. In addition, Glencove Yacht Club at the 1mm in Lake Ozark is also being offered for sale. Brian Pecenka, General Manager of Glencove Marine states, "With the interested parties that have come to us over the past two years, and other opportunities for investment at the Lake of the Ozarks, it is clear to us that this is the right time for Glencove Marine to make this transition, continue toward our longterm goals, and continue our focus on providing the best in service to our customers and the highest quality products available in the industry." By having the Sea-Doo and Formula service departments in one location, it will be much more convenient for customers, especially an ever-growing number who have boats and PWCs. They can come to one centralized location, instead of visiting two separate locations at the Lake. Jan Donnelly has been a partner and co-owner of Glencove Marine since the business was born in a driveway back in 1984. She and her late husband, Ron Thompson, were instrumental in the growth of Glencove Marine. "I have seen so many changes here at the Lake. The area has transformed from a mom and pop tourist destination to an ever growing community. Glencove Marine has kept up with the times. In fact, we'll be celebrating 25 years of service in March 2009. Everyone is looking forward to our move, and being able to bring more products and services for our customers," says Donnelly. Sherry Jackson, co-owner of Glencove Marine adds, "Glencove is a top Formula dealer worldwide, as well as the largest Sea-Doo dealer in our 17 state region. We have many long term, dedicated employees and we are all eager to make this transition and integrate our resources. This is a win-win situation for our customers, as well as the Glencove family." The move will begin after winterizations this fall, and will be completed over the winter months to provide a seamless transition for customers and staff. Glencove Marine is a longtime boat dealer and marina at the Lake of the Ozarks, providing boat and personal watercraft sales, service and rentals and storage. Glencove Marine is a proud member of the Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitor's Bureau, Lake Area Chamber of commerce, Better Business Bureau, Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association, Missouri Marine Dealers Association, National Marine Retailers Association, Adopt the Shoreline, Horseshoe Bend Special Road District Adopt-ARoad program, and the Designate a Captain program. Hey that sounds great! Good news for me, our condo is on the 3 across from you guys!

Any Insite on the long term goals/plans that were mentioned?

I am not in the loop on that info. I guess I will find out just like you when the two other locations sell. I would guess that it would be indoor rack storage and or a location farther up the lake. Like I said I really don't know.
