I have fuel sending unit puzzle. The float does not float freely in the tank but when the sending unit is removed from the boat it floats and reads accurately in water (and in a bucket of gas for that matter). Does anyone know a reason that it would act this way in the fuel tank? The gauge and connections are working properly. The tank is in a 2011 310ss.
