Fresh water pump issue

The pump is constantly running quietly and not building pressure. Full pressure when using dock water. Screen is clean. I installed new pump today since it is 9 years old. water is just trickling out. When i filled the tank and turned off the 3 way switch it kept filling. I thinking it is the solinoid valve. Any thoughts??
 
It sounds very much like the solenoid valve is stuck open. Happened to me once or twice a season until I changed the solenoid valve. It fixed the problem. Mine is locate behind the fridge. A real pain to get to.
 
You can probably take it apart and replace the diaphragm in it or might have something stuck in it. Mine was stuck open with mineral deposits.
 
I ordered new solenoid works perfect after lubing O ring on the screen to stop a leak. Took old valve apart which was stuck open and diaphram look pretty worn. New pump is updated from original with better water pressure and it is sooo much quieter.
 
What pump did you get? I replaced my pump this spring with a Shurflo Aqua King II Supreme 5.0 and it is either defective or just a bad pump, loud, runs way too long to build pressure, poor pressure, etc. So I am looking for options. [h=1]
