Has anybody replaced the frayed fuel cap wire? It appears difficult to anchor to the filler tube, makes me nervous when I remove it to fuel up. I do have a spare that came with the boat, I understand they're vented, so good to have a spare.
I did it over this past summer. I had my mechanic do it though because I replaced the gasket as well. There is also a spring connected to that wire and they had to disconnect the fuel line to get everything together properly.
