Thanks Matty, not anticipating any major issues, presents almost new, survey (including engine survey) the definitive test.

Absolutely having oil samples analyzed, not sure of turn around time, hopefully it doesn't take more than a couple of days, but no matter it's a must do. Complete engine survey scheduled as well as regular purchase survey.

I did, the 45 was in my marina Bay Bridge. Survey was this past Thursday the 22nd there are a number of issues that must be resolved. At this point its up to the seller to make things right to enable me to move forward with the purchase. So we will see, possibly going to look at a 40 PC, although I prefer the 45.

What are the issues, my survey found several issues also, but I found it far better to get an accurate cost to resolve the issues plus some $$ for incidentals and my time, then negotiate that out of the sales price and now I also control who how and when they get done under my priorities and watchful eye. This also worked well for me as I was doing some other improvements that coincided with the issues found on the survey.

I am wary off a PO or worse a broker short changing the repairs to get bye instead of having my best long term interest in mind. In my own recent purchase they found a large damaged portion on the port prop, the broker / PO offered to repair or possibly replace the prop, while that would have gotten me bye I knew long term I wanted new S Class VeemStars, thus I negotiated for the cost to replace the damaged prop & recondition the non damaged prop, installation, & haul out x2 and used those funds towards the new props.

Agreed, when I said "make things right" certain items that we can quanitfy (accurate cost) will be resolved via cash back at settlement, however other issues for example, trouble shooting the problems with electronics are harder to get a handle on, so I would like a ray marine tech to resolve the problems, or recommend replacement. Its funny you should mentioned the port prop, this port prop was bent and a crab pot line wrap around it.
