Engine Hatch Actuator

I hit the button on Saturday and nothing... It has always working perfectly before this. The door to the swim platform was open, the breaker had not tripped, the light on the switch was coming on. Anybody have any ideas? I'm going to run down to the boat today or tomorrow and try to fix this.

Boat is a 2006 330SS

Thanks,
Aaron

I'm going to guess it's the contacts on switch for the transom door. Try opening and closing the door a couple times to cycle the switch. Mine did the same thing this spring. I ended up having to temporarily bypas the switch.

I'm hoping for something easy like that... I'm going down there today to take a look, I'll let everyone what I come up with.

hopefully I won't but I'll know in a few hours... That seems like a good price, I want to say that when I replaced the one in my cobalt several years back they were like $300...

ok so I bypassed the door switch and everything came back online... Anybody know where I can get that switch or that a question for TAG?

Make sure the current switch is adjusted properly. Mine had slipped when the door was hitting it enough to prevent complete activation of the switch.

I had trouble with mine when the gas strut that holds the door in the full open or closed position got weak. It would not hold it on the the stop tight enough to activate the switch. I was able to match the strut up at a local NAPA auto parts.

i have a 2015 350 CBR and right after I took delivery from the factory on the 3 or 4 run, I couldn't open the engine hatch. Seems that the reed switch on the door was loose, slid down the rod on the door, and then reed switch never closed to complete the circuit to open the hatch. After going through the manual procedure to lift the hatch, I re-aligned the switch, lock tighted the holding set screws, and we've been good since.
