Depth Finder Gauge Scratches Fix?

My plastic depth finder/sounder display is showing it's 20 year age.

Will toothpaste and a toothbrush remove some of these scratches and clear this up?
I'll get a pic next time I get a chance.
thanks

I used some 3000 wet & dri on my volvo displays. They had some sort of clouding that would not come off. Worked well except a couple small scratches I watched a u tube on polishing plastic. I'm going to take my dremel with me and try a small area buff......

Can anyone ID this depth finder, and or know what I could replace it with? It's huge behind the dash, but I'd like to look at options before removing the dash again.
thanks

I may or may not work with the existing transducer. Hey its amazon. Wire it up and if it does not work back it goes.....
According to the Humminbird FAQ on their site, it should plug right in. But after fixing the scratches, I'm good for now

I used some
and a small rag. I've used this on plastic before - it's quite gentle. Your results may vary.

After polishing the screen's plastic, it's 10x better now and easier to read! Before I was ready to spend the $ and get a new one, but this looks good to me now.

:)
