Couple of quick questions

I have two fuel tanks, do they both feed each engine or port for one, starboard for the other? Also, from experience, how accurate are the fuel gauges? Thanks in advance for your help.

I can only answer is it related to my boat...

Fuel gauges are fairly accurate...when empty I still have a bit of reserve...like 20 gals each, that that is way too close for me. I suggest testing on your own. (Others will chime in)

As for tanks, mine is setup each tanks feeds an engine (plus STBD does Genny as well) I have no cross over, but you might (others will chime in)

I think it's the port fuel tank that feeds the generator. According to specs, the port tank is 131 gallons and the starboard tank is 119 gallons.

Fair enough...I was just going off how mine was setup....but yes one for sure feeds the genny ;D

They seem to be off as they get down to 1/4 tank by a full 1/4 tank. So on the gauge the reading is 1/2 but when you fill it up, it only takes 1/2 tank amount of fuel.

Here's a link to my thread last summer with the same question: http://formulaboatsforum.com/forumtest/index.php?topic=5339.0

Did you mean 1/4 on the gauge and only 1/2 on fill up? The problem I have is that I get a delivery of fuel. Unfortunately there is no shut-off function on the truck. I can only fill to 7/8s, so I do not get a full load. No having a full load to start with makes it hard to gauge what I have in the tank as the fuel gets used.

^^ - Yep...or close to it. My gauges are not linear by all means. Especially when it gets to the 1/4 tank levels, etc.

Opps, yes that was confusing. Sorry it was late, brain was a little slow. When my tanks read 1/4 on the gauge and I fill them up, it only takes what would be 1/2 of the total gallons of the tanks listed capacity. So that leads me to believe that when I actually have 1/4 on the gauge, it is closer to 1/2.

I had a 2005 330SS which I would think would be similar to the systems you have on the 2005 370. I could run the boat on "empty" for a while. It really was not accurate. As a matter of fact it would show "full" for a long long time then suddenly go down really fast to 1/2 and below. My rule of thumb was that I made one mpg, so I would reset my GPS odometer every time I filled up and got a much better idea of how much I had in there. It worked for years. Never ran dry despite pushing the luck several times.
