Cockpit carpet replacement

Has anyone replaced the cockpit carpet? Looking to get a new set and can't seem to find any places with a 45 template. I guess I can go through Formula though I suspect that will be the most expensive route.

zen,

You can contact TAG and see who actually made your carpet is one path. Secondly, Snap-in carpet can provide a template kit or you can make your own from heavy brown paper. They also have a variety of colors, styles and backing material.

Did a 5 piece set for the 34 PC 2 years ago and it was a little over $700.00 delivered, less than 2 weeks.

Zen,

What year 45 yacht do you have? I would be more than happy to get you a carpet cut number. You can then go to matworks.com and have a custom set cut.

Thanks, I actually spoke with matworks earlier today and they called you guys to get the info. Much appreciated.

I gave up on the wool type carpet and went to the Infinity Luxury Woven Vinyl. (ship Shape TV promotes them). Found a local dealer and they came to my 45 and made the patterns and in a week new carpet was installed. Great stuff. does not hold water and not slippery.

not cheap either!.

Zen, what color Seadek? does it get hot in the sun? Does it stick OK on top of the nonskid ?

We're about fed up with the rubber backing coming off the carpet.

I got new from matt works. not really impressed with the backside material. Also mine is now green - how do I fix that..?
the material in my 1990 Chris Craft was better.

As long as we're singing praises about MatWorks...I had them do engraved Strahl cups (stemless wine and tumblers) with my boat's name. They are high quality and held up to lots of abuse this summer. Totally worth it, and the cool factor makes your other boating friends oh-so-jealous.

I. Know wrong thread but I have original carpet from 07 ,45 . One piece was used a couple weeks. Boat had the teak cockpit flooring option. Either pick it up in NJ or pay for packing and shipping. Carpet is gray with rubber backing
