Carb to MPFI

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience upgrading from carb to multi-port fuel injection in a 5.7 magnum. The kit available from Affordable Fuel Injection uses the Holley components and pretty much bolts on. I am curious what changes in top end, torque, and fuel economy have been experienced by going to FI.

I did..... I bought two new re-man engines and drives fron Pro-Tec Marine. It was the same $$$ I had planned on rebuilding my old mags. So I feel as though I got the Bravo drives for free ;D ;D ;D Well that's how I justified it with myself anyway ;D ;D What is the aftermarket EFI kit worth?

I think the EFI kit goes for around $1200. I haven't checked recently. Did your original mags run carbs and the re-mans run EFI? If so, what difference did you see?

I haven't run them yet :( :( It's a long term project.... next summer I'll be able to answer that question!
My old mags were baffed out carb engines.

I should be able to answer it too. It's going to be a winter project for me. Affordable claims the boat they tried it on went from cruising (3,000 rpm) at 3/4 throttle to below 1/2 throttle but that can mean a lot of things since your changing the whole throttle body and letting a computer control the induction. The fuel economy is the justification but a few extra ponies is always the big incentive. Thanks for the input.
