I have been dealing with an issue with my canvas lately, which led me to talking with the manufacturers. There are two companies involved, Haartz Inc, and Glen Raven Inc. One is the Sunbrella manufacturer, and one is the Seamark (inside vinyl lining) producer and bonder/extruder of the two materials. Enough on them though, other than some useful information I got from Haartz this morning.
There is a new cleaner product that Haartz R&D recently developed and tested in their lab.....specifically for our Sunbrella systems. This cleaner, is followed by a waterproofing and UV protection product formulated by another company working in concert with Haartz on this system. Lab testing results of this combination apparently have proven to exceed 303 products for cleaning and waterproofing of Sunbrella products, with the addition of UV protection that 303 does not claim to provide. The products are produced by a company named Wolfsteins, and the products are called BIMINI TOPP Fabric/Vinyl Cleaner, and BIMINI TOPP Fabric Protectant. That said, I thought I would give these a try next season, and pass on the product info. Here's a link to a page containing the products:
