Beeping CO2 detector

I have a CO2 detector that beeps when the boat has not been used for a few days. The windows are open, so I know it is not detecting fumes or whatever. I believe it is due to a low battery. Is this possible? If so, what is the remedy? I have a new/refurbished battery charger that works. What am I missing. My other boat chirps when I do not use it for extended periods of time and the battery does get low. I thought this was the exact same thing.

We just had the same problem, my mechanic told me they do ware out and to replace the board inside the detector. You don't have to replace the whole detector just the board inside. They are not very expensive, and easy to change out.
