Any Advice for Replacing a Battery Disconnect Relay?

Of course, just before the holiday weekend, my port engine's battery disconnect relay goes out. Amazon can get a replacement to me on Sunday. No one in Fort Lauderdale carries them. Called TAG. OEM vendor is Intellitec. Part number 01-00055-000 12V 100AMP. Looking at my old one, it appears to be a simple install. Just disconnect the batteries first and turn off battery switches. Anything else I should know?

I don't have one but if you want a quick fix, and don't mind spending funds, get a bat ON/OFF manual switch and manually do it till the correct one comes in

Could also connect the 2 wires together using a bolt and nut, or connect them both to the same side of the relay. Tape it up good, and remove battery cable when you want to disconnect

Forgot to include, I found the part on Amazon, it gets here Sunday,. with luck, might be in the water Monday. I assume the install is pretty simple, just disconnect and reconnection the wires in the same order and placement, then turn on the existing battery switches and try to start it.

Found the wiring diagram. I got the replacement solenoid installed and wired according to the diagram (see photo). The reason I needed the diagram is because my mechanic started this job and had partially disconnected wires, but stopped in the middle, then left without telling me (or showing me photos) of how it was originally wired. I referred to my starboard solenoid and assumed it was the same, so I installed it that way. Then I found the wiring diagram in my Formula wiring book. The problem is now, I no longer have a light on the starboard battery switch. To recap, the problem was the port ignition, it threw a low voltage error and would not turn over. Starboard engine started fine. Also the port battery switch would not click on and off, rather when I pressed the rocker, it would not engage, and the light remained on. My mechanic came over and troubleshooted, and told me that the battery disconnect relay (i.e. the starting solenoid) was bad. He showed me rust on the connections. As noted above, he left before job finished and left some of the connections undone. I found the part on Amazon and it arrived today (Sunday). I installed the part myself. Now, I have normal operation on the port battery switch and the port engine starts normally. On the starboard switch, I have a new issue now, the red light on the switch does not come on when I flip it to ON. It clicks like normal, but the LED on the rocker is no longer showing, but the starboard engine starts normally.

Is the missing red light indicator on the starboard battery switch anything to worry about?
