Air Conditiong?

When my compressor for the cabin AC turns on, I am getting a "HPF" error. At first it only happened with the genset, but now it is happening on shore power. I tried looking at the manuals, but there were no error codes listed. Any ideas?

HIGH PRESSURE FAULT= no water to a/c unit. strainer clogged. pump needs primed, pump not working, clogged condenser, needs back-flushed. Too many possibilities to list but go for the lack of water first.

Finally got over to the boat last night. Took the metal filter strainer out and there was some debris in it. I also looked at the bottom of the bowl and saw about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of sand. I believe these two items were the contributing factors for the HPF fault. I was able to clean the strainer and that was enough to get the a/c-heat running again. I will either take apart or vacuum out the bowl at the end of the season. Thanks again for your help.

That water can get pretty murky in MVYC. Esp this time of year when the water is getting low just about everyone is dragging the channel. That's probably where you picked up some gunk. Better than the boarding mat I grabbed off the bottom last year there - that led to an insurance claim. :-\
