Air conditioner keeps kicking the breakers

2008 Formula 34PC a/c unit kicks the breakers. Not the same breaker all the time. Sometimes in the cabin and other times in the cockpit. It seems as though the compressor should cycle out for limited amount of time. But it runs continuously. My last boat would cycle out and the fan would just run intermittently and then kick back on. Any clues anyone. It?s darned hot without the a/c

My fan runs constantly, and my compressor turns on as needed from the thermostat setting vrs actual air temp. Have not read through my manual but I would assume that can probably be set based upon your preference. I would recommend getting a clamp on current meter and try to see if it is the fan motor or compressor that is drawing too many amps. The motors should have labels that show what the current draw on each motor should be.

You need to be more specific. Is the a/c breaker tripping? What other breakers are also tripping? Would it possibly be one of the mains?
