Acrylic Shower Door

Does anybody actually use the acrylic shower door in the master shower? I find it poorly designed, I think I'll go with a shower curtain. For a boat of this quality its a little bit of a disconnect.

if you are talking about the round door like I have on my 2004 47' yes we use it every weekend twice a day min, and yes its a very weak design. I need to replace the rollers and the bracket but its PIA as you have to disassemble the entire system and when its time to reinstall good luck getting everything lined up so the door doesn't bind.

We are currently living with it as it works but it takes more effort than I like to open and close it.

It doesn't stay open and it does not unfold all way the because it hits the shower wall or the towel rack on the door if indeed you chose to close the door. The plastic stop on the shower wall does not prevent it from collapsing back into the shower.

Here you go. The acrylic door makes a V and the bottom of the V is going out toward the shower door, which provides the tension on the plastic stop on the left to keep it from moving. :)

Matty,

Thanks for the video, very thoughtful. However that is how I was opening the door. The previous owner left a slotted piece of (not sure of the material) in the shower. I just discovered its used to fit over the top of the door where the two pieces join and it indeed holds it in place. My door is cut to short that's why the previous owner came up with this gizmo. I took of picture it on my phone I'll have to show you when I get a chance to load it.
