7.4 MPI running temp?

What temp do your 7.4mpi motors run at? Mine seem to consistently run between 175-180, my last boat ran at 175 as well, but was a carb'd small block. Not sure if im running too hot, or if its completely normal. Thanks in advance for the insight.

Thanks, my starboard side once warmed up really doesn't move from 175, my port side (which im troubleshooting some issues with the heat exchanger) runs between 175-180. Never over 180 though.

From my manual on the Merc 350: Carb Thermostat was 160. EFI is 180.

I can only guess that may translate to bigger engines.

175 ish An interesting thing is that the ECM ECT (temperature) reading tends to be 5-10 degrees LESS than the gauge. I'm only concerned if my helm gauge goes over 180˚ F
