41PC cockpit refrigerator

Hey all,

My cockpit fridge/icemaker combo is done for and I'm looking to replace it with just a fridge. What have you guys used and what fits in that spot?

My experience is with a smaller boat but I?m pretty sure Isotherm Cruise (Door or Drawer) is where you?ll eventually land. They seem to have a better selection and quality than Dometic and others, and are (or at least were) OEM for Formula.
And remember you?ll need to pull dual AC and DC power to the new fridge if it?s not already in place for the old one.

We gave the one we took out away. Ours was only 120 volt, no 12 volts was going to it.
That would be the primary reason why I would have given it away too.
What sense does it make to have a cockpit fridge that loses its cool any time you're underway, anchored, moored or otherwise without shore or genset power? Cabin fridges sure do run on 12v (along with 120v).
Come to think of it - your old cockpit fridge was already halfway to being a storage cabinet (just without the plexiglass door), right? <wink>

The main reason I got rid of it was to make access to the hatch under the refer more easy. If I have to change the secondary fuel filter I don’t have to drag out the refer to get to the hatch. I will still have to do some work to get to the hatch but the refer was a waste IMO.

We installed the door covering the area where the cockpit refer used to be.

From a previous thread, I found the following at Sargent Appliance.

U-Line 29R for $1147, but this pricing was last summer. Not sure what the current pricing is...

Comodave, what fridge did you end up putting in that place? And how well did it fit? Do you have more pictures. I'm thinking about doing the strict 120V as well.
