400ss and 370ss transom door mod!

Was thinking about cutting my transom door down on my 400ss so that the step on the port gunwale can be used while the door is open. Anyone do this mod yet? thanks

That will leave a gap when you have your canvas on. Maybe that's not a concern for you but just thought I'd mention it.

not worried about the gap in the canvas can always have the canvas altered.

first season having my boat and came across the issue the first real time out with it. couple of buddies have 370ss they are having the same issue when rafted up or at port.

Don't get me wrong, I know exactly what you're talking about and could see some advantage to doing it.

Thanks for the pics. That looks good. Anxious to hear how it works. The lip is still higher than the step, but much better .

so far I love the door mod, everyone who had to deal with the door and knew how much a pain in the ass it was like it.
