400 SS V-Berth Filler Cushions - Where do they get stored?

When we purchased this 400 SS, the previous owner left the V-Berth cushions on the bed in the aft cabin. For the life of us, we can't fit these anywhere that is out of sight! They will NOT fit in any way shape or form into the lift up floor storage area where the table/V-berth corian pieces go. Any ideas?

This is a problem on a lot of boats with Vberth fill in cushions. Regal uses the seat backs in the Vberth as the fill in cushions, so they are self storing. Too bad most manufacturers don't do this. I love my Regal, sorry I had to do it. ;D

On my 370, at the very front, between the mirror and sofa there is a black oval like rectangle piece that flips up. That's where my cushions are stored. It blends in very well, like a secret hiding spot.

X2.....If placed carefully, they don't need to be "crunched" in at all....it's perfect spot....is the 400ss the same?

Yes, on the 400 SS there is the same rectangular flip up cover that reveals a large storage area. The cushions MAY fit in there, but I?ve been reluctant to put them in there because of the cabin ribbon light transformer (fan cooled) and another gadget that may be the windlass relay/transformer? Didn?t want to cover or block those with the cushions. I think I will investigate the feasibility of getting these cushions in there and not causing any potential electrical problems.

Me too...
I placed the two smaller cushions in the hidden compartment near the mirror. I place the larger one with the posts and table tops under in the hinged floor storage compartment.
The front table and one post stays erect all the time (place to set beverages). The ceiling window screens are kept in the port seat cushion compartments as the starboard storage compartments store the vacuum and trinkets.

Absolutely correct. It looks as though the floor in that compartment is recessed in the shape of the cushion. Both would not fit on top of each other. I placed the second one leaning sideways against the back of the couch. Finally! Thanks! ;D

no problem , that is what this forum is all about. i've also made a bunch of upgrade/changes to my formula over the last 4 years , so if you have any other problems let us know .

maybe we should start a thread of changes we have made on out 400ss ?

Thanks Mike. That's a great idea. It would be very interesting to see. I have a ton of ideas, but haven't actually done any yet. Just educating myself on all the systems & keeping up with the maintenance schedule so far.
