4-Blade Bravo 3 Drive Prop Performance

Understand that Formula has moved their larger PC I/O Bravo III boat from 3 blades to 4-blade front, and 3 blade rear.

Wondering if anyone has experience with this setup, and improvements that is it over the 3 blade setup?

Wondering what they run on a 37PC cruiser with 496 Mag HO engines.

Thanks!

So to answer quickly....

I moved from 3 x 3 setup to 4 x 3 setup.

Top end a touch slower, to be expected.

My midrange cruise a bit slower, to be expected.

My low end cruise is a bit better, meaning I can stay on plane at lower RPM's, thus a bit more efficient.

My hole shot a bit better.

Dock handling a bit better.

Thanks.

Depends, but normally down one, as you have more surface area and more bite with the 4 x 3

I was at 25 P (custom) to optimize WOT on my 3 x 3, I am now running 24 p 4 x 3 at some WOT

I'm a little surprised you lost mid-range speed (fully expected a loss in top end), I wonder how a swap like this effects different hulls like a 370 SS

Yeah so remember, a 4 blade is a bit more bite and thus needs a bit more RPM for the same distance forward.

Minor loss, nevertheless a bit.

As for other hulls, honestly I am not sure.
