270 BR

Love the lay out of this boat! Would actually be a great layout for what my parents want to get into since they are looking at the Regal 2700 right now. I know there are some dealers on here as well as great opinions from others but who does anyone have some insite about maybe getting ride of or ordering w/ out those bucket seats and instead getting the McCloud Drop out bolsters like in the fastec..

Im looking at the cover of Action and the 270BR is a great looking boat

The lines are nice but I'm disappointed in the layout of port side access to the head area.

I like the access the 260BR has along with my 310BR. That's one of the selling features that we liked over our previous Cobalts. The current 270BR layout makes it harder to access the head.

The idea of making the 240/270 the same family and I understand that Formula has a 290BR in the works for 2010...

What does everyone think of new "morning sand vinyl" that is being shown show much online and in the press ??

Well, being a huge fan of the 260ss layout I've got to say that I don't like the layout of the 270br. It reminds me of my Four Winns 240 I had a few years ago. I do like the look of the exterior though, except for the tiny Formula emblem.

We have a 260BR right now. IMO the tan interior does not work for me... I would stick with white. My real surprise is the 270 seem to be running 4-6mph slower than the 260. Weight is about the same, so what was changed to lose the speed? The last article I read had a top end of 48 mph for the 270, where the 260 hits 53-54 mph with the same 496 mag and Bravo III. Overall, the 270 looks very nice and I look forward to seeing one in-person.

I agree with Boomer 880 about the tan interior. Formula's white gellcoat is so bright that the tan clashes with it.

I have two 270 BR's in stock. Took on to the KC show and taking one to the St. Louis show. I Made service put the first one in the water so I could see how it did before I had to represent it at a show.

Wow what a boat stable in the water has a big boat feel with the performance of a small boat. Runs 54 mph and I think with a prop change will do allot better. Turns on a dime, I did a 40 mph hard turn and it never blew out did not slide an inch and came around faster than anything I have ever been in. When I drove it, it was 20 Degrees out side and the flag was straight on the pole. In the white caps I turned every direction I could trying to make it slap a wave and had no luck. Awesome boat we should sell a ton of them.

Compairing it to the 260 is hands down no comparison. I personally was never impressed with the performance of a 260. Pained nice and had good bottom end, but with the big motor never seemed to get enough speed out of it. The 270BR runs great with the 375 I can't imagine how nice the 425 HO would be.
