2011 400ss joystick controller

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and hoping to get some feedback on the joystick controller on a 2011 400ss with diesels that I'm considering making an offer on.

I believe it is the first generation controller for this model and would like to know if it works well, is there is any issues with it, or with anything else on this Year/model for that matter.

A friend has a 2010 400 SS and diesels that had quite few issues the first year he owned it (bought it used in 2015). Some of the fixes were pricey and it seemed that every time something in the system broke, it was replaced with an "updated" part. Since that first year it's been pretty reliable.

do you have a history on whether or not there have been software updates, etc? I did not have that generation but had older joysticks and newer- ultimately they are still pretty impressive. However, the I/O set up does not work like true pods. Not sure what your wind/current situation is like but every so often I had to use the boost power option. Otherwise, it should allow you to dock like a champ.
