2001 496 Mag cold start issue

I have non-Ho 496's in my 34PC and on a long trip last two weeks I had the port engine stall out upon cold startup. After trying a few times if I rapidly gave it throttle upon firing and held the RPM at 1200-1400 until it warmed up it then behaved like normal. Any ideas? Idle air control motor? TPS sensor? Does it set a code?
 
IAC or fuel pressure would be my guess. I just did both on my 2001 350 and huge improvement. Fuel Pump + regulator + cooler for me.

you can get a loaner fuel pressure gauge from auto zone to test
