06 400ss questions

I would like to know if the extended plateform was standard on the 2006 400 or was it an option? If so, can you be purchased from Formula and at what cost?

Thnx,
Steve

Did they lift the platform flush with the rear deck in 06? If so make sure to get the flush deck. Mine is too low especially with the diesels. It touches the water when sitting still. The later boats have about 6" of clearance.

The later platform is higher, flush with the rear deck

We added the swimplatform.com one to our 400ss. We absolutely love it coupled with sea DEK it's been our favorite addition to the boat

Thanks for the feedback. How is the quality and price of the swim plateform.com, when compared to the formula one?

IMO, they are very close in quality, however price is way off in favor of the aftermarket offering. Best update to the boat hands down and when I sell my 260 and move up. It will be one of the first things installed on the new Formula!!!

It looks and feels like "factory" to me. I don't know the cost as it was on my boat when I bought it. It is flush and I love it. Wacked it a few times docking and it is really tough. I'll try to get pics this weekend.

Quality of the swim platform.com one is excellent. I can't remember the price but think it was around 3k plus seadek.

I have it on my swim platform here in Florida. I spray or splash it before climbing out of the sea, but it isnt blisteringly hot. Cannot cook an egg on it, which you can on my windshield mid July!!!

It's gets warm/hot but not anywhere near as hot as the carpet or faux teak.
