Generator problems...

I have a 2006 5ECD generator w/ 62.5 hours. I only started it a few times last season and it always started on the first try. At the end of last season when I went to winterize it, it wouldn't start. This Spring still no start so I replaced the plugs and checked all of the connections. Still no start. I can get it to start if I spray a little starting fluid in the carb. It fires right up and then shuts down showing a "OO" code. (CO sensor module). I can't seem to find this part anywhere on the web but did read in the manual that it should be replaced every two years. I also can't find anything on the "OO" fault but it is shown on my control panel legend. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

For what it's worth, I had a real gremlin of a problem with occasional starting, and when it wouldn't start, it would flood. Turns out, the valve lash needed to be adjusted and put back in spec. That was it. Ran great after that. Given your description, that might be worth looking at.

Thanks,
I will check it out

Your description is lack of fuel
With generators there are safety circuits that shut off fuel
With ethanol and the obsortion of water my recommendation is to change fuel filters which is usually part of normal maintenance anyway
Next would be fuel pump, fuel shutoff solenoid, internally collapsed fuel line, anti siphon valve, tank pickup.
Can be daunting sometimes to check.
Be very careful of gasoline vapors as you work on this.
Dangers of explosion becomes greater with open fuel systems.
